History

  • 2014     Start of the construction of the new prefab division of Cordeel on the Zaat in Temse
  • 2011     Cordeel Nederland BV inaugurates its new office building.
  • 2003     Following the integration of Mabuwat BV, a company acquired in 1999,  the name Mabuwat disappears and said company from then on operates under the name of Cordeel Nederland BV for all business conducted in the Netherlands.
  • 2003     Nieuw Temse NV - of which Cordeel forms part - acquires the 'Oude Boelwerf' site in Temse and starts with the redevelopment of the site into a habitat and SME zone. 
  • 1999     With a view to further structure the development and growth of the activities of Cordeel in the Netherlands, Cordeel acquires the Dutch contracting company Mabuwat BV, with plants located in  Zwijndrecht, Vlissingen and Axel.
  • 1999     The Civil Architecture division of Cordeel starts its first major project the ‘Deurganckdok’, in the port of Antwerp.
  • 1999     Founding of Cordeel Bulgaria in Sofia.
  • 1997     Vangronsveld nv is tranformed into 'Cordeel Zetel Hoeselt' and 'Beton Vangronsveld'.
  • 1994     Filip Cordeel, the son of Marc, becomes a member of the Board of Directors.
  • 1990 - 1999     Cordeel opens its first foreign branch in the Netherlands (Vlissingen and subsequently also in Zwijndrecht). Later on, new branches are established in Germany (Aachen) and France (Lille).
  • 1989     Cordeel acquires the Limburg-based company Vangronsveld and transforms this company into its second Belgium-based foothold.
  • 1979     Dirk and Marc Cordeel take over control of the company.
  • 1953     After his sons Dirk and Marc had joined the company, Ghislain Cordeel transforms his one-man business into a public limited company. The family enterprise quickly develops into a group of construction companies.  
  •  1934    19 year old Ghislain Cordeel starts a joinery business in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium.
